Can You Make a Living Online as a Blogger?

So are you an internet marketer or are you a blogger? It seems to me some people think there is no difference or they believe they can make a living online as a blogger and get the fame as well as the fortune.
If you want to make a living online as a blogger you need to build your readership up to 100K minimum per month before you can start selling advertising space on your blog. To do this you don’t need to be a good writer you need to be an exeptional writer.

You need to stand so far above the normal run of the mill blog that a passing reader will bookmark you, digg you and come back every morning to see what pearls of wisdom you are offering today.
Once you get your visitors up to 1 Million a month you should be able to make a decent income from selling your advertising slots.

If you are an internet marketer on the other hand, you want your visitors to click your links and leave. You don’t want readers and you definitely don’t want bookmarkers and diggers because social traffic = shit conversions. You don’t want a great looking theme and you don’t want well written posts.
What you do want is a Google customer to find your keyword rich title in the search results and you want them to click on that link only to find a boring looking site with an article that covers no more than the basics and you want them to instantly realize this isn’t what they hoped for and you want them to click on your Adsense ad that hopefully does have what they want.

I have around 100 blogs and I write posts for 2 of them, this being one of them. The rest are built with PLRpro articles and I make a very good living from visitors to those blogs WHEN THEY LEAVE.
Now I am not saying that you are not a good enough writer to make a living online as a blogger but the odds are that you aren’t, you just might not realize it yet. To get up there in the top 1000 Technorati blogs doesn’t involve learning SEO, there aren’t any $97 a month memberships you can join to help you ‘beat’ the system and there aren’t any ‘black hat’ techniques to help you cheat.

This is because a faker would soon be found out. They wouldn’t last 2 minutes before all the social traffic gave them the thumbs down and sent them packing.

The good news is that if you really are an exceptional writer (as in the top 1% writers on the web) making a living online as a blogger will be a piece of cake. Just start writing and posting as the best talent always rises to the top.

For everyone else trying to make a living online, accept it’s a numbers game, forget the fame, start throwing those PLRPro sites up and start making some real money.
